Before a planning conversation

Here’s what to think about before we talk.

These are general preparation steps. Each engagement has its own checklist based on the agreed scope.

01

What are you deciding, when does it matter and what would a useful outcome look like?

Use the planning organizer
02

Make a financial inventory

List relevant account types, income sources, debts, insurance and existing planning documents. Leave out passwords, full account numbers and identity documents.

Read the preparation guide
03

Review what has changed

Common questions

Know what to expect.

Must I transfer assets to get planning help?

Hourly consultations and flat-fee financial plans are independent of investment management. The agreement describes each service.

Does a one-time plan include ongoing monitoring?

Only if an ongoing responsibility is expressly agreed. The scope should say when the work is complete and what follow-up, if any, is included.

Where will management assets be held?

The management model uses client accounts at an independent custodian. This website does not provide account-opening instructions or account access.

Can I use the articles without becoming a client?

Yes. Educational resources are freely accessible and do not require an account or establish an advisory relationship.

Your next step

Let’s talk about the help you need.

An introductory meeting is a chance to discuss your questions, understand the services and decide whether working together makes sense.
